Secondary vegetation
The flora that occupies, in a natural or stimulated way, a physical-ecological space that has been previously deforested, converted or degraded.![](https://plenamata.eco/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/43_vegetacao-primaria_secundaria.gif)
It is the vegetation that, depending on the stages of development or recovery of forests and other natural formations, ends up occupying the physical-ecological space previously dominated by primary vegetation. Part of the primary vegetation often remains in the middle of the secondary vegetation during this process.
